Advice for Homeschoolers on the College
Application Process
So you are starting to think
about college? As home-educators we often miss out
on the information fairs, recruiting efforts and guidance
counselors that are available at public and private schools to
help with the process of preparing for and applying to
colleges. And while there are thousands of books and websites
out there on the college application process, the generic
information often falls short of the specific advice
needed by the home-school family.
Maybe you are a parent who is
worried whether what you are teaching is actually preparing
your child for college. Perhaps you are a student in
high-school who is starting to consider whether college is the
right choice for you. Here you will find a wide range of
resources aimed at both students and parents specifically
written with homeschoolers in mind. Best of all, the
information comes from an individual who was homeschooled and
has successfully completed his college education (read more in
the About Me page).
